Keeping Up with the Joneses
You’re doing fine. They’re doing better.
A turn-based satirical life-simulation game about the economy of 2026: you own nothing,
you rent everything, your skills expire, and the only resource you cannot borrow is the
sixty hours in your week.
Each turn is one week. You choose a character and one of two fictional cities, then
spend those hours taking shifts and gig work, studying for certificates that decay,
commuting by eleven different travel modes, paying rent on six housing states,
servicing debt, and occasionally sleeping. Every job and every home has a real address,
so moving closer to work can be worth more than a pay rise. Meanwhile the Joneses next
door are a benchmark you never quite catch.
The game runs entirely in your browser, free, with no account and no advertising. Saves
